Earlier this week, in an attempt to have the last laugh, Winter decided to give us quite a show of rain, hail and lots snow up on the mountains. This little act, however, was short-lived and Spring came back, humbly and gallantly, quietly melting the snow away, bathing us in radiant sunshine, singing beautiful songs, delighting all our senses. This particular day was an official welcome to Spring.
We sat in the shade by Nana’s citrus trees, enjoying the very last oranges and tangerines of Winter. Seduced by the sweet, crisp smell of the tangerines.
Such was the irony, that we would sit there, taking in Spring, but enjoying Winter’s fruits.
It was the perfect farewell to winter and the best welcome to spring.
