Weary

I think I have strep throat… or some kind of infection in my throat. I started feeling it Sunday afternoon but it really hit me bad yesterday. I spent half of the day yesterday in bed, shivering and with a fever. I’ve been taking vitamins like crazy. Today, I’m not much better, except I haven’t had a fever so that might be a good sign. Maybe?  I do have a great mother-in-law who took the day off to take care of me and help me with the girls. I am very grateful because when I woke up this morning I wondered how I would get through the day with two small children.

On similarly horrific news: my new beautiful lens broke this past week. So, needless to say it’s been a rough week! Thankfully the warranty will take care of it, I just haven’t had the time to go to the post office and mail it. I was very devastated, fretting about not having the lens back in time for the Bundle’s party (I’ve been trying to post more about the preparations) when a friend and photographer from our church offered to lend me one of his lenses! So now I will have beautiful pictures of the big day!

I leave you with a passage to help those of you who are weary, just like me.

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
   the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
   and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
   and increases the power of the weak.
 Even youths grow tired and weary,
   and young men stumble and fall;
  but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
   they will run and not grow weary,
   they will walk and not be faint.”

         Isaiah 40:28-31
