Summer Fruit

It’s  hot. Really hot. 110-degrees-daily hot.

So we turn to a nice, juicy way to refresh. Watermelon.

We’ve been eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I like to keep it in the fridge so it’s nice and cool. The Bundle would rather eat “dia” (Sandia is watermelon in Spanish) than anything else.

Watermelon is synonym to summer in my  book.  When I was growing up, it was mangoes, but now that I live in the desert, watermelons are easier to come by.  We’ve been keeping nicely stocked too, thanks my dear friend, V. She even brought the Bundle her own little “baby watermelon” last night. She already ate it all by lunchtime.

So, how about you, what is your summer fruit?
