Roe v. Wade

January 22, marked the 37th anniversary of Roe v Wade. For those of you who do not know about this most revolting decision made by the U.S. supreme court in 1973; it was decided that a mother could abort a baby for any reason up until “point at which the fetus becomes ‘viable'”, viable is defined as the baby being able to live outside of the womb. My friends, please take just a few moments from your busyness and reflect upon the millions of innocent lives that have been lost because of this decision.

It is estimated that 1 out of 3 women have had an abortion! Abortion is not just about ending a precious, innocent life of a CHILD, it also affects the mother in a physical, emotional and psychological way. Talk to any woman who has had an abortion and almost always this person lives in extreme grief, pain and remorse. If you, or someone you know has had an abortion, I recomend you read a book called “Her Choice to Heal” by Sydna Masse.

If you are considering abortion, go to a Pregnancy Resource Center, people there a filled with love and compassion, and you will receive the encouragement you long for and the help you need. The can even help you with adoption.

Every child deserves a chance to live. Abortion is murder.

    Dear Life Snap,
I have a really good friend that has had several abortions. I don’t agree with them but I can’t bring myself to tell her! What’s worse is that she’s always worried about being pregnant! and she says “I’ll just have to get another one…”. Any advice on how to help her?

Venezia, you seem like a very good friend, worried about your friend’s decisions but not wanting to hurt your friendship. I don’t blame you for not knowing how to talk to her, it is a very sensitive subject. Next time she brings up the subject about thinking she might be pregnant, state you opinion lightly, remember not to be condescending.
It seems like she is using abortion as a form of birth control, I would suggest to her trying other options, there are many other types of birth control out there that are much less gruesome!
One of the most common excuses abortion advocates make is that “it’s your body your choice.” Well, what about the other human body, the one growing inside the woman, shouldn’t he have a say on weather he wants to live or not?
Another excuse advocates make is that it’s not really a baby or human until it is born. The truth is, that human life begins at conception, those nine month every one of us had to spend in our mothers’ wombs, are a normal stage of human life. Saying a fetus is not human or person because it doesn’t look like one is like saying that an elder person isn’t just because he doesn’t look like a teenager. They are both human, they are just in different stages of life, like a fetus is in the very first stage of life.
I hope this helps you. Remember to show your love for her and I hope she values your friendship and appreciates your concern for her. Best of luck.
